This section explains how the Lawson Invoice Matching application interfaces with other Lawson applications.

Application interface: How Invoice Matching interfaces with other applications

Currency

The Invoice Matching application uses currency codes and exchange rates defined in the Lawson Currency application.

General Ledger

The Invoice Matching application uses accounting units and accounts within the Lawson General Ledger chart of accounts for all interfacing functions.

Contract Management

The Invoice Matching application uses...

Tax

The Invoice Matching receives tax information from the Lawson Tax application to calculate tax on invoices. In addition, tax codes entered on invoices are validated in Tax.

Accounts Payable

The Invoice Matching application receives vendor information from the Lawson Accounts Payable application. Invoice Matching matches the vendor invoice to the receipt.

Inventory Control

The Invoice Matching application receives item information from the Lawson Inventory Control application and provides inventory entries and adjustments to Inventory Control.

Purchase Order

The Invoice Matching application receives purchase order and receipt information from the Lawson Purchase Order application. Purchase orders and receiving will be updated during the match process.

Asset Management

In the Invoice Matching application when an invoice is matched, a released invoice is created. Invoice Matching passes information to the Accounts Payable application, which in turn updates Asset Management.

Project Accounting

The Invoice Matching application receives validation of activity/category information from the Lawson Project Accounting application. You can associate invoices with activities allowing the use of Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Activity Based Management (ABM). No updates occur to Project Accounting directly from Invoice Matching. Invoice Matching passes information to Accounts Payable which updates Project Accounting.

Strategic Ledger

The Lawson Strategic Ledger application performs analysis and reporting on organizational profitability. A user analysis field is a flexible, user-defined element that allows you to attach additional information to transactions for reporting and analysis. No updates occur to Strategic Ledger directly from Invoice Matching.
