Use the following procedure to define values for different levels
of hours (based on the service class selected on the table.) Values
can be a flat amount, an amount multiplied by hours or earnings from
a service class, or a calculation.
To define an hours amount formula

Access Hours Amount Formula (LP06.3).

Select a company and complete the form. Use the following
guidelines to enter field values:
- Hours Amount Formula

Type a code for the formula.
- Hours Service Type

Select whether the values in the From Hours fields pertain to
life to date (LTD), year to date (YTD) or prior year total (PYT) hours.
These hours are based on the Hours Service Class you select
on Hours Based Accrual Table (LP04.6).
- From Hours

Type the start of the hours range.
Leave this field blank on the first record if the formula amount
should be given even when no length of service hours are recorded
or calculated. You calculate length of service hours on Length of Service Hours Update (LP188) and view them
on Length of Service Hours (LP88.1).
- Amount

Type either a flat amount or an amount that will be multiplied
by the hours or earnings from a service class.
If you type an amount, leave the calculation field blank.
- Service Class

Select the service class that contains the hours or earnings
to be multiplied.
- Calculation

Select the calculation that pertains to the hours range. If
you select a calculation, leave the Amount field blank.
