To correct service and event records if the Absence cycle is closed for either service or event processing

  1. Access Employee Event History Update (LP54.1).
    Note: LP54 can only be used to change points, occurrence, or reason code. The new reason code must hold the same plan balance value as the original code.
  2. Select a company and an employee.
  3. Complete the form using the following guidelines:
    Reason Code

    Select the reason code if this record signifies an attendance event.

    You can change the reason code on a historical (closed status) service record if the value for Plan Balance is the same on the new code as on the existing code.

    If you enter a reason code with a different Plan Balance, you must enter and process a new record. A reversing entry can be made to adjust from the incorrect reason code.

    Occurrence

    Select whether this absence will count as an occurrence in absence reporting. You can change this value on historical (closed) service and event records.

    Points

    If attendance tracking is based on a point system, type the number of points associated with this event.

  4. Make the corrections and continue with the payroll cycle.
