Printing balances on checks

Use the following procedure to print balances on employee pay checks.

Note: Laser checks are created using the PMTOUT file and are also called PMTOUT checks.

To print balances on checks you need to print laser checks and use the Infor Payroll application.

To print balances on checks

  1. Access Payroll Rule (LP03.5) to define which balances (available, accrued, reserved, or carryover) you want to print and how you want the balance descriptions to appear on the checks.
  2. Type or select a payroll rule and description.
  3. In the Payment Print tab, define which balances (available, accrued, reserved, or carryover) you want to print and how you want the balance descriptions to appear on the checks. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Available Balance/Payment Print

    If you want the available balance to print on the paychecks and direct deposit stubs, type the description that you want to print next to the balance.

    Then select whether the available balance should be printed on payments and direct deposit receipts.

    This feature requires Infor Payroll and laser checks (PMTOUT).

    Accrued Balance/Payment Print

    If you want the accrued balance to print on the paychecks and direct deposit stubs, type the description that you want to print next to the balance.

    Then select whether the accrued balance should be printed on the payments and direct deposit receipts.

    This feature requires Infor Payroll and laser checks (PMTOUT).

    Reserve Balance/Payment Print

    If you want the reserve balance to print on the paychecks and direct deposit stubs, type the description that you want to print next to the balance.

    Then select whether the reserve balance should be printed on the payments and direct deposits.

    This feature requires Infor Payroll and laser checks (PMTOUT).

    Carryover Balance/Payment Print

    If you want the carryover balance to print on the paychecks and direct deposit stubs, type the description that you want to print next to the balance.

    Then select whether the carryover balance should be printed on the payments and direct deposits.

    This feature requires Infor Payroll and laser checks (PMTOUT).

    Used Balance/Payment Print
    If you want the used balance to print on the paychecks and direct deposit stubs, specify the description that you want to print next to the balance.

    Then select whether the used balance should be printed on the payments and direct deposits.

    This feature requires Infor Payroll and laser checks (PMTOUT).
