Reserve balance

A reserve balance is hours or earnings held in a separate balance field on the employee’s master record. These hours are earnings that are not included in the ongoing or carryover limit processing, but can be used by employees as designated on the reason code. Reserve balances provide a way to set aside hours or earnings so that they are not affected by limit rules.
