Lawson General Ledger

Lawson General Ledger is the financial repository for the overall organization. It is the basis for producing departmental financial statements and enterprise-wide financial reports.

The Lawson General Ledger application is not required if you use Absence Management.

If you use Lawson General Ledger, you create Absence Management rules that indicate:

  • Which plan balances or transactions should be posted to the General Ledger

  • How the amount should be calculated

  • Which posting method should be used – reversing balances or incremental transactions

You can override the calculation information, GL account and activities information on the employee's master record.
