Ways to terminate employees in an absence plan
Employees can change from one plan to another based on their employment situations. Promotions, location changes, and voluntary and involuntary terminations can affect the employee’s eligibility. There are two ways to terminate an employees eligibility or plan:
-
Employee Absence Plan Master (LP31.1)
-
Mass Absence Plan Termination (LP103)
Employee Absence Plan Master (LP31.1)
Employee master records can be terminated individually by entering dates on LP31.1. To terminate a master plan you enter the Master End date, which will stop all accruals and transaction processing for this record. This date can be updated manually or set as an option on Mass Absence Plan Termination (LP103). You can also stop employee accruals from processing by entering a stop date in the Accrual End date field. This will allow the plan master to remain active but stop any accruals from being created.
Mass Absence Plan Termination (LP103)
You use LP103 to end absence plan structures and/or employee absence plan master and enrollment records. LP103 lets you:
-
Set the end date on plan structures and all affected employee records.
-
Set the accrual end date for employees, and optionally the master end date.
-
Set the master end date only, used for records where the accrual end date has already been set.
