Defining nature of transaction codes

A nature of transaction code (NOTC) describes the kind of transaction. You assign an NOTC code to each transaction. This procedure explains how to define NOTC codes.

Note: The United Kingdom uses a separate list of NOTC standards and should use the NOTC code 10 for purchases and sales.

Specify the Nature of Transaction Codes (NOTC) code. To allow the application to default codes, define these codes:


NOTC	Description
11	Outright sale or purchase
21	Return of goods

Note: Nature of transaction codes are defined by the EC.

Specify the NOTC description.
Select the Add form action.
