Setting up Intrastat

If your business is registered for Value Added Tax (VAT) reporting and you transport goods across borders within the European Community (EC), then you must file Intrastat reports. Intrastat reporting is only for the movement of goods and does not report service transactions. This chapter explains how to set up Intrastat.

Note: Because Intrastat reporting involves only the collection of statistical data, it does not affect your general ledger accounts.
