Defining keyword searches

If you use Infor Lawson Requisition Center and want to perform item searches, then this procedure explains how to set up Inventory Control keyword searches and synonyms.

To define keyword searches, complete these steps:

  1. Access Corporate Item Group (IC00.1).
  2. Select Search to access Keyword Search Setup (IC00.5).
  3. Select Change in the FC field and select 1 in the Usage field next to the origin fields that you want to enable. These fields represent the origin for the values from which keywords will be created.
  4. Select Change.
  5. Run Keyword Search Load (IC800).
  6. Select the item group and keyword origin.
Note: Running IC800 will create keywords for existing data or you can run the program to create keywords for the newly enabled origin fields for existing data.

As you add records, IC800 will create keywords for the origins that are set to used.

  7. Access Keyword Synonym (IC32.1). You may want to create synonyms - or alternate terms - for some keywords that you created. Select an existing keyword and enter synonym(s) for it on the line below.
  8. Specify as many synonyms as you need for the keyword.
