Transferring CSV data from the Lawson server to your computer
If you are operating on a IBM i platform and know the mapping of the Lawson server to a shared drive, you can use Windows Explorer to copy the CSV file from the Lawson server to the IBM i hard drive. Alternatively, you could launch the spreadsheet program you have and use the File/Open action to open the CSV data directly from the shared drive.
After you create a CSV data file, it resides in a path on the Lawson server. How you transfer the CSV data from the Lawson server to your computer depends on the platform you work on.
To transfer CSV data from the Lawson server to your computer
- If you are operating on a Windows/NT platform and know the mapping of the Lawson server to a shared drive, you can use Windows Explorer to copy the CSV file from the Lawson server to your computer's hard drive. Alternatively, you could launch the spreadsheet program you have and use the File/Open action to open the CSV data directly from the shared drive.
- If you are operating on a UNIX platform, the CSV file must be copied from the Lawson server to your hard drive so it can be accessed by a desktop software package. Three primary options are available for performing this file transfer.
