To define an institution profile
- Access Institution Profile (GM00.1).
 - Define the organization, department, or division that will be associated with an award or awards. Use the following guidelines to enter field values.
           
- Institution

Type or select a code for the institution (organization, department, division) and a description. The code identifies the institution receiving an award.
 - Legal Name
 - 
              
Type the institution's legal name. The legal name is used on the Financial Status Report (GM269) and Federal Cash Transaction Report (GM272).
 - Address Code
 - 
              
Select an address code. (Address codes are set up on Address Codes (IF00.1). The address code is used on the Financial Status Report (GM269) and Federal Cash Transaction Report (GM272).
 - Contact
 - 
              
Type the name of the primary contact person at the institution.
 - 
              
Type the primary contact person's e-mail address.
 - Telephone
 - 
              
Type the telephone number including area code and extension of the primary contact at the institution
 - Fax
 - 
              
Type the fax number including area code of the primary contact at the institution
 - EIN
 - 
              
Type the institution's employer identification number (EIN). The EIN is used on the Financial Status Report (GM269) and Federal Cash Transaction Report (GM272).
 - DUNS Number
 - 
              
Type the institutions DUNS number (Data Universal Numbering Systems). The DUNS number is a unique nine-character number that identifies your organization. It is a tool of the federal government to track how federal money is distributed. Most large organizations, libraries, colleges and research universities already have DUNS numbers.
