Procedures in this chapter

All General Ledger users must define a chart of accounts. Use these procedures to define your chart of accounts.

Defining a chart of accounts	You define the accounts that you will use for reporting and posting. You define summary accounts and then the detail accounts beneath. See Defining a chart of accounts.
Defining system accounts	You define system accounts for each chart of accounts. These are detail accounts that are used for system-generated entries. See Defining system accounts.
