Note: Once GL197 has been run, prior year budget edits are not valid.
At year end, GL197 must be run prior to matching a Purchase Order encumbrance with a subsequent year invoice.
You cannot unrelease a GL Journal that contains prior year(s) Budget Actual transactions.
Detail Match as a match rule is preferred for a Budget Actuals company.
Caution:If GL197 has been run and the last period remains open, and a partial quantity is invoiced, a cost change different than the purchase order may cause next year’s budget actuals and budget edits to be invalid.Caution:Once GL197 has been run, unmatching a prior period invoice will not update the appropriate Budget Actuals year and period. If unmatch is required, it must be performed after the year-end close (GL199).
