Automatic List Example

This example shows how you could create an automatic list that lets you group grants by funding source.

  1. Create the following user attribute:
    Name:

    FUNDING SOURCE

    Object type:

    GRANT (GMGRT)

    Element:

    Alpha 30

    Values:

    FEDERAL

    STATE

    LOCAL

  2. For each grant, define funding source, add the value FEDERAL to the attribute Funding Source for the grant.
  3. Create a list named FEDERAL with the following attribute value range:
    Funding Source:

    From FEDERAL To FEDERAL

    Note: Preview the list to verify that the appropriate grants are selected.
  4. Select the FEDERAL list on reports or inquiries to include only Federal grants.
