Inquiring on budgets using Budget Analysis

Use this procedure to view and analyze current budget data online, based on company, budget, and account and period parameters that you define.

  1. Access Budget Analysis (FB95.1).
    Note: To display the associated detail lines for a selected transaction, use the Drill Around feature.

    Use these guidelines to specify the field values:

    Company (1)

    Select the company number, fiscal year, budget number, and accounting unit or accounting list for the first budget that you will compare.

    Note: (Optional) You can select a specific version of the budget to compare. If you leave this field blank, then the current version of the budget is the default value.
    Company (2)

    Select the company number, fiscal year, budget number, and accounting unit or accounting list for the second budget that you will compare.

    Note: (Optional) You can select a specific version of the budget to compare. If you leave this field blank, then the current version of the budget is the default value.
    Accounts

    Select specific account parameters that you will view.

    Type

    Select whether to display the amounts or units. If you leave this field blank, then the default setting is Amounts (B).

    Periods

    Select a specific period range to view.

    Rounding

    Select the decimal place amounts or units are rounded to. If you leave this field blank, then the default setting is Whole (W).

    Allow Zero Amounts

    (Optional) Select whether to display the zero budget amounts. If you leave this field blank, then the default setting is Yes (Y).

  2. Click Account to open Account, Period (FB95.2). You can use this subform to compare account period totals for both companies, or two budgets in the same company.
  3. Click AcctUnit to open Accounting Unit, Period (FB95.4). You can use this subform to compare accounting unit period totals for both companies, or two budgets in the same company.
  4. Click Totals to open Totals (FB95.6). You can use this subform to compare beginning balances, period totals, and ending balances for both companies, or two budgets in the same company.
