About pre-billing my customer for a drop ship order

You can bill your customer earlier in the drop ship process using an advance ship notice (ASN). If you use EDI processing, then you can receive an ASN from your vendor. The ASN replaces the invoice entry, approval, and release process. You can create the invoice for your customer, and pre-bill, upon receipt of the ASN. See Options for entering a drop ship order.
