About controlling the frequency of recurring invoices

You can control the frequency of recurring invoices with frequency options such as billing on a yearly, quarterly, monthly, semi-monthly, or weekly basis. You can also define a non-standard cycle code for recurring invoices. This table shows you the parameters you need to define for each frequency option.

Note: If you define the bill day frequency to be 31, then the Billing application will bill the customer on the last day of each month.
To Define
Bill by a non-standard frequency A cycle code
Bill on a yearly basis Bill month (1-12) and a bill day (1-31)
Bill on a quarterly basis Bill month (1-3) and a bill day (1-31)
Bill on a monthly basis Bill day (1-31)
Bill on a semi-monthly basis Bill day (1-15)
Bill on a weekly basis Bill day of the week

Cycle code

A cycle code is a non-standard frequency that you use to create and bill invoices. For example, you can define a cycle code to assign to recurring invoices that creates the recurring invoices every three weeks, the second Tuesday of every other month, or another non-standard frequency that you use.
