About controlling the frequency of recurring invoices
You can control the frequency of recurring invoices with frequency options such as billing on a yearly, quarterly, monthly, semi-monthly, or weekly basis. You can also define a non-standard cycle code for recurring invoices. This table shows you the parameters you need to define for each frequency option.
Note: If you define the bill day frequency to be 31,
then the Billing application will bill the customer on the last day of
each month.
To | Define |
---|---|
Bill by a non-standard frequency | A cycle code |
Bill on a yearly basis | Bill month (1-12) and a bill day (1-31) |
Bill on a quarterly basis | Bill month (1-3) and a bill day (1-31) |
Bill on a monthly basis | Bill day (1-31) |
Bill on a semi-monthly basis | Bill day (1-15) |
Bill on a weekly basis | Bill day of the week |
Cycle code
A cycle code is a non-standard frequency that you use to create and bill invoices. For example, you can define a cycle code to assign to recurring invoices that creates the recurring invoices every three weeks, the second Tuesday of every other month, or another non-standard frequency that you use.
