Procedures in this chapter

Perform these tasks for period end processing when using multiple currencies:


Interfacing non-General Ledger application entries and closing non General Ledger applications	Use this procedure to interface non-General Ledger applications and close non-General Ledger periods. This procedure is required before you can close a General Ledger period for any application that uses system control. See Interfacing non-General Ledger application entries and closing non-General Ledger applications .
Revaluing currency	Use this procedure to calculate new values for nonbase currency amounts. See Revaluing currency.
Translating actual amounts	Use this procedure to translate the company base currency amounts into other another company base currency or to report currency amounts within the same company. See Translating actual amounts.
Translating budgets	Use this procedure to translate budgets from one base currency to another company base currency. See Translating budgets.
Closing the accounting period or year	Use this procedure to close the accounting period for each General Ledger company or company group. See Closing the accounting period or year.

Deleting historical exchange and translation rates	Use this procedure to periodically delete rates. See Deleting historical exchange and translation rates.
Purging a report currency	Use this procedure to discontinue the use of a report currency for a company and, optionally, replace it with a different report currency. See Purging a report currency.
Rebuilding report currency balances	Use this procedure to rebuild report currency balances from transactions. See Rebuilding report currency balances.
Rebuilding daily report currency balances	Use this procedure to rebuild daily report currency balances from daily transactions. See Rebuilding daily report currency balances. Note: This procedure can be used only by Average Daily balance (ADB) companies.
