Usage
Use milestone revenue recognition when you want to specify when revenue recognition can occur. The amount recognized is determined manually for each milestone.
Percent Complete Milestones
You can recognize revenue based on the percentage of completion. The percentage of completion is calculated based on the type of budget:
| For an amount budget: | % Complete | = | total cost amount / total budgeted amounts |
| For a unit budget: | % Complete | = | total units processed / total budgeted units |
Milestone Status
The milestone status indicates whether the milestone is ready to be recognized, has been recognized, or is on hold.
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| To Process | The milestone is to be included in the next revenue calculation. |
| Processed | The milestone has been included in a revenue calculation. |
| Hold | The milestone is on hold from revenue recognition. |
