Defining a Units of Production Rate Table

Units of Production rate tables determine the billing rate to be charged for units posted to an activity. The rates are defined based on the unit of measure attached to the unit transaction. This procedure describes how to define a unit of production rate table.

Before you define a units of production rate table, you must define units of measure. Setting up resources

To define a units of production rate table

  1. Access Units of Production Rates (BR03.2).
  2. To determine the billing rate to be charged for units of production during the life of the activity, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Activity

    Select the summary, contract, or posting level activity for which you want to define units of production rates.

    Account Cat / Contract Cat Group / Summary Acct Category

    Select the account category, contract category group, or summary account category for which you want to define units of production rates.

    Note: The account category must be defined as billable on Override Account Category (AC06.1) or Account Category Detail (AC08.3).
    Source Code

    Select the source code you want to assign to the units of production rates. The source code identifies where a transaction was created.

    Beginning Date

    Select the effective date for the units of production rates.

    Unit of Measure

    Select the unit of measure to assign the units of production billing rate. The unit of measure must exist in Units of Measure (AC17.1).

    Billing Rate

    Type the billing rate you want to assign to the unit of measure.
