Putting transactions from multiple activities on hold

  1. Access Mass Transaction Hold (BR142).
  2. Use these guidelines to specify the field values on the Activity tab:
Activity Group List, Activity Group, Activities, or Activity List

Select the activities in which you want to change the transaction status.

Note: You can specify a value in only one of these fields.
Account Category Group, Account Cat Type, or Account Category

Select the account category group, account category type (revenue, cost or accrual), or account category to in which you want to change the transaction status.

Note: You can specify a value in only one of these fields.
  3. To define additional options, use these guidelines to specify the field values on the Other Options tab:
    Old/New Cycle, Billed, and Revenue

Select the current (or old) and new status that you want to use for the Cycle, Billed, and Revenue fields. If the transaction was not billed or revenue has not been recognized (does not have a Y in the Bill or Rev field), then you can put the transaction on hold by selecting H (Hold). You cannot change the transaction to Y for billed or revenue recognized.

To put a transaction on cyclical hold or manual hold, select Yes or Hold for Manual Release in the Cycle field and then set the other field (Billed or Revenue) to Hold (H).

    System Code

Select the system code of the transactions that you want to place on hold. A system code is a two-character code representing an application used within the Lawson system (e.g. GL=General Ledger, AP = Accounts Payable).

    Source Code

Select the source code of the transactions that you want to place on hold. The source code is a two-character code assigned to a transaction to identify where the transaction was created. For example, the code AD is assigned to vendor invoice distributions, while PW is assigned to employee payroll wages.

    Unpaid AP

Select Yes (Y) to place unpaid Accounts Payable transactions on hold for revenue recognition. The revenue hold is a cycle hold. The default setting is No.

    Post Date Range

Specify the beginning and ending posting date range of transactions that you want to put on hold.

    Update

Select Yes (Y) to update activity transactions. Select No (N) to view a report of the status change that will be made when you choose to update. The default setting is No.

  4. To define print option parameters, use these guidelines to specify the field values on the Output Options tab:
    Summarize Report

Select Yes or no to indicate the level of detail that you want the report to include. Yes creates a summary report by account category and activity. No creates a detail report that lists each transaction on a separate line. The default setting is No.

    Page Break

Select Activity Group (G), Activity (A), or None (N) to determine where to include page breaks. The default setting is None.
