Defining Full Flex Plans

You can define different amounts of flex and pretax credits based on employee groups so employees in different employee groups can participate in the same flex plan but receive different amounts of flex credits.

Before you can define a full flex plan, you must define Flex Pay Codes.

See Infor Payroll User Guide.

  1. Access Flex Plan (BN06.1).
Note: During initial setup the display fields in the core plans part of the form are blank. After you define your core plans on Benefit Plan (BN15.1), and the core benefit plans associate with the flex plan, information is displayed on the form.
  2. Select the Company.
  3. Specify the code and provide a description that represents the flex plan.
  4. Specify this information:
    Start Date

Specify the month and day you intend the plan to begin. Flex plans are based on 12-month periods.

    Employee Group

If you identify a specific employee group for the plan, select the group.

If you leave this field blank, all employees become eligible for this flex plan.

    Spending Account Only

    Select N - No.

    Frequency Table

Select the frequency table that you associated with the flex plan.

    Flex Pay Code

Select the flex pay code to use when unspent flex credits are paid out as taxable income. This field is required even if unspent flex credits are forfeited.

    Currency

Select the currency you assign to the flex plan. If the company is not multi currency you can leave the field blank. The company currency defaults.

Note: You have to associate a currency to a plan. The default currency is the currency defined for your company. If your company does not use multi-currency, then the flex plan currency must match the company currency.
  5. Click Add.
