Defining Stock

Use this procedure to define stock symbols for stock options.

To define stock

  1. Access Stock Definition (BN07.1).
  2. Complete the form using the following guidelines:
    Stock

    Type the stock symbol.

    Description

    Type a description; for example, the name of the company.

    Fair Market Value

    Type the fair market value for the stock.

    Market Valuation Date

    Type the date of the fair market value.

    The following display-only fields are updated when Stock Splits Update (BN107) is run in update mode:

    Date

    This field displays the date of the stock split or re-pricing.

    Split To

    This field displays the resulting number of shares for a stock split. For example in a 2:1 stock split, this field displays 2.

    Split From

    This field displays the initial number of shares to compare to for the stock; for example in a 2:1 stock split, this field displays 1.

    Round Method

    This field displays the rounding method to be used when the split is not even.

    Round Bef/Aft

    This field displays at whether the rounding was applied before or after the calculation.

    Round To

    This field displays the value that the price should be rounded to.
