Primary General Ledger accounts (BL/DST) default setting

Primary General Ledger accounts are set by default from the company or the process level. You can refer these accounts as sales class accounts in the Billing application.

Note: Any default accounts for special order items are set from the process level.

You can use sales class to tie certain default accounts to a process level and sales class combination. You can use the sales class accounts in Billing to send transactions of inventory and non-stock item sales to the General Ledger.

To indicate when an order line does not reach the projected profit margin, you can assign a target profit margin at the sales class level. When an order line does not meet this profit margin, you must specify a profit hold code on the order line.

The profit margin is calculated as (Unit Net Price * SPR UOM (Sell UOM to Price UOM Conversion Factor) - Unit Cost" / Unit Net Price.
