Setting up electronic payment (EP) types (BL/DST)

An electronic payment (EP) type is used to represent payment by credit card. You can set up electronic payments to enable customers pay for goods or services through electronic transfer of funds from their accounts to yours.

Procedure flow: Setting up electronic payment (EP) types
  1. Access Electronic Payment Types (BL13.1).
  2. Specify or select the company.
  3. To set up the electronic payment type, specify this information:
    Electronic Payment Type

    Select whether the electronic payment type to set up is for company or customer electronic payment.

    Electronic Payment Service

    Specify the electronic payment service provider.

    Note: If you are using the Lawson Electronic Payment Connector, then specify PAYFLOWPRO in this field.
    Status

    Select whether the EP type is active or inactive.

    Electronic Payment Minimum Margin

    Specify the minimum amount by which to increase the authorization amount.

    Note: When you authorize an electronic payment, you must authorize against an amount. You cannot access Billing against a zero amount.
    Margin Percent

    Specify the minimum percentage by which to increase the authorization amount.

    Authorization Duration

    Specify the days for which the electronic payment is authorized. For example, 14 days.

    Requires Authorization

    Specify whether authorization is required for the electronic payment.

    Pending Authorization Hold Code

    Select the hold code to indicate that authorization is pending for the electronic payment transaction.

    Failed Authorization Hold Code

    Select the hold code to indicate that electronic authorization has failed.

    Requires Settlement

    Select if settlement is required in the electronic payment process.

    Pending Settlement Hold Code

    Select the hold code to indicate that settlement is pending for the electronic payment transaction.

    Failed Settlement Hold Code

    Select the hold code to indicate that electronic payment settlement failed.

    Failed Settle, Authorized Hold Code

    Select the hold code to indicate that both settlement and authorization failed.

    Accounts Receivable Code

    Specify the accounts receivable code for electronic payments.

    You can use Electronic Payment Types (BL213) to list company electronic payment types including account receivable codes and descriptions as an example of example of related reports and inquiries.
