Customer group
A customer group is a collection of customers that you can share to companies with multiple accounts receivable. You can reduce your setup time by sharing customers across companies.
You can define customer numbering options, cross-company aging, and currency
defaults at the customer group level. You can select and replace the aging options in default
to the company level.
Note: If possible, you can define only one
customer group that you can share to all companies with multiple accounts receivable. This
way, you can consolidate customer balances and can run one aging report across all
companies.
Customer group setup requirements
Consider these ideas when you set customer group:
- You must define a customer group before you define an accounts receivable company
- You must assign every customer to a customer group
- You must use the same currency table to all companies within a customer group
- You cannot assign a company to more than one customer group
