Use of multiple units of measure pricing (BL/DST)
Your company can price the same inventory item in different units of measure. For example, soft drinks are priced by case, by 6-pack, and by each.
This table shows the price base for each unit of measure (UOM):
| Pricing unit of measure | Price base |
|---|---|
| Case | $9.60 |
| 6-pack | $3.00 |
| Each | $0.75 |
A customer orders 32 cans. Because the price is different for a case, 6-pack, and by each, one line shows on the order but the pricing drill-around shows three units of measure for pricing.
This table shows an example of the price base for each unit of measure (UOM):
| Pricing unit of measure | Price base |
|---|---|
| One case | $9.60 |
| One 6-pack | $3.00 |
| Two each | $1.50 |
The invoice print shows $14.10 as the order total.
