Example of an automatic list

This example shows how you can create an automatic list for customers based in Canada:

Selecting customers based on Lawson-defined attributes is useful. For example, your organization can create a list of customers based on the Lawson-defined STATE attribute. You can use this list to run an aging report for all customers in a specific state.

  1. Create the user attribute:
    • Name: GEO DOMAIN
    • Object type: Customer (CUST)
    • Element: Alpha 10
    • Values: CANADA, UK, or US
  2. For each customer based in Canada, specify CANADA to the attribute GEO DOMAIN for the customer.
  3. Create a list named CANADA for customers based in Canada with a GEO DOMAIN of From CANADA to CANADA.
Note: Preview the list to verify that the appropriate customers are selected.
  4. Select the CANADA list on reports or inquiries to include only customers based in Canada.
