Example of an automatic list

This example shows how you could create an automatic list for customers based in Canada.

It is useful to select customers based on Lawson-defined attributes. For example, your organization may create a list of customers based on the Lawson-defined STATE attribute. You can use this list to run an aging report for all customers in a specific state.

  1. Create the user attribute in this table:
    Name: GEO DOMAIN
    Object type: Customer (CUST)
    Element: Alpha 10
    Values:

    CANADA

    UK

    US

  2. For each customer based in Canada, specify CANADA to the attribute GEO DOMAIN for the customer.
  3. Create a list named CANADA (for customers based in Canada) with the following attribute value range:
GEO DOMAIN: From CANADA To CANADA
Note: Preview the list to verify that the appropriate customers are selected.
  4. Select the CANADA list on reports or inquiries to include only customers based in Canada.
