Use of electronic payment processing for ship immediate orders
You can accept electronic payments for ship immediate orders. The process for these orders are similar to authorization on sales orders without a customer order. When you process the ship immediate order, a back-to-back authorization and settlement is performed by Billing.
Example
Imagine shopping at a local store. You find the items on your shopping list and walk to the cashier. You take your credit card from your wallet and scan it through the card reader. At this moment, that reader is communicating with an Electronic Payment Provider to authorize your card. You notice that the card reader may display Authorizing or a similar statement. When authorization is received, settlement occurs and your credit card is charged for the amount of your purchase. This way, you can walk away with your items and pay for them with a credit card.
