Transferring files from the server

When you have successfully created the line item import files, you are required to transfer them to the PC on which your Pillar application data set resides.

If your Lawson Business Management System resides on a UNIX server, then you can use a transfer utility such as winptxfr or ftp to copy the files to your PC.

You can also use the lawson.insight Desktop File Transfer program. This procedure describes how to transfer files with the lawson.insight Desktop File Transfer program.

  1. From the Start menu on your PC, click Programs.
  2. Click Lawson Desktop, then Desktop Utilities.
  3. Click File Transfer 32. The Lawson File Transfer 32 displays.
  4. Complete the fields on the form to transfer the line item import file.
