Transferring the files to the server

After you export the line item budget file, transfer it to the Lawson server where the Lawson Business Management System is located.

If your Lawson Business Management System resides on a UNIX server, then you can use a transfer utility such as winptxfr or ftp to copy the files from your computer to the Lawson server.

You can also use the Lawson Desktop File Transfer program.

  1. From the Start menu, click Programs.
  2. Select Lawson Desktop > Desktop Utilities > File Transfer 32.
  3. Complete the fields on the form to transfer the line item export file.
