Transferring the files to the server

When you have successfully exported the line item budget file, transfer it to the Lawson server where the Lawson Business Management System resides.

If your Lawson Business Management System resides on a UNIX server, then you can use a transfer utility such as winptxfr or ftp to copy the files from your PC to the Lawson server.

You can also use the Lawson Desktop File Transfer program. This procedure describes how to transfer files using Lawson Desktop File Transfer.

  1. From the Start menu on your PC, click Programs.
  2. Click Lawson Desktop.
  3. Click Desktop Utilities, and then Desktop Utilities.
  4. Click File Transfer 32. The Lawson File Transfer 32 displays.
  5. Complete the fields on the form to transfer the line item export file.
