Updating budget dimensions

Complete this procedure to create budget dimension files. These files contain the metadata that you will import in your budget application.

  1. On Budget Architect (EB10.1), select the budget for which you want to process metadata and click Submit Rpt. The Budget Report Updates (EB19.4) form displays.
  2. Click Dimensions to display Dimension Update (EB110).
  3. On EB110, select or specify a job name in the Job Name field.
    Note: This will save the job name that you can reuse in the future to rerun the dimension update. If you select a job name from the list, then click Inquire to fill in the fields on EB110.
  4. (Optional) Specify a description for the job in the Job Description field.
  5. In the Budget Name field, select the budget for which you want to update metadata.
    Note: You can select just the dimensions that have changed or you can select all the dimensions for your budget. If you leave all dimensions blank, then all budget dimensions are selected.
  6. Select the dimensions for which you want to create import files. A separate file containing dimension metadata is created for each dimension that you specify.
  7. Add and submit the job.
    Note: When the job has completed, use Print Manager to view or print the results. You will see each dimension for which an import file was created, the path and file name, and the number of records in each file.
