Exporting the budget line item file

Use this procedure when exporting the budget line item file:

  1. When you have completed and consolidated your budget report in the Pillar application, use the File, Export command to create an ASCII file containing the budget data.
    Note: The file name must match the export report name that you will create in Budget Architect. You can export column headings.
  2. When you create the Budget Architect export report definition, you must indicate that the file has column headings.
  3. Use these ASCII Separators:

    • Field = comma (,)

    • Record = carriage return (CF-LF)

    • Quote = Double quotation mark (")
