Defining Customer MICR Cross References

In this procedure, you can define cross references between a customer and one or more MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) numbers belonging to the customer. Cross references let you enter cash without knowing the customer number. Cross references are required if you interface payments from a lock box using Lock Box Interface (AR570).

To define MICR cross references

  1. Access MICR Customer (AR13.1) or Customer MICR (AR13.2). Each form displays the parameters in a different order so you can select which format is easier when entering cross references.
  2. Type the bank ID, MICR account number, and the customer number in the appropriate fields.
