What is a Transaction Batch?
Before you can enter transactions, you must create a transaction batch. A transaction batch groups invoices, credit memos, or debit memos for control totals and provides default information for all transactions in the batch. A batch record eliminates the need to type redundant information on every transaction record.
The totals assist in identifying data entry errors. They consist of the total amount and number of transactions. If you selected Yes in the batch control field on Company (AR01.1), your totals must match the entry totals before you can release a batch.
