To transfer a payment to a non-AR account

  1. Access Payment Transfer to Non-AR (AR29.2).
Note: If enabled, a Infor Process Automation service creates a work order that notifies the credit analyst via e-mail that a payment has been fully transferred.
Note: You can transfer a payment assigned to a customer to a non-AR payment. To be eligible for transfer, the released payment must not have an application or pending applications.
  2. Locate the payment you want to transfer by selecting the company, batch, payment, and customer.
  3. Select the accounting unit and number. You can distribute the payment to many GL accounts, but the distributed amount must equal the payment amount. When an unassigned payment is added to the system, the cash account is debited and the RNA account is credited. When the payment is transferred to a non-Ar account the RNA account is debited and the credit goes to the GL account(s) entered.
  4. Click the More button "*" to open the Distribution Options (AR29.4) subform. Use this form to define units, descriptions, and tax information.
  5. Click the Change form action to process the transfer.
