When are asset records combined?

Sometimes asset records interfaced into Asset Management from Accounts Payable or Project Accounting can be combined. Interface may also be combined. When combined, the asset records are merged to make one asset with multiple items.

These three criteria determine when and if asset records are combined:

  1. The same combine description is specified for multiple records.
  2. The multiple records are released simultaneously.
  3. The information in these fields is exactly the same (including the upper or lowercase spelling) for all of the assets being combined:
    • Combine field

    • Template field

    • Company field

    • Asset Description field

    • Tag field

    • Asset Group field

    • Accounting Unit field

    • Hold field

    • Currency field
