Disposed Asset Purge

Disposed Asset Purge (AM330) lets you purge selected disposed asset records from the Asset Management database. Because this program permanently deletes records, exercise caution when using this program.

You can archive the purged data to a set of comma-separated value (CSV) files. The program generates a separate CSV file for each database file affected by the purge selection and saves the files in this directory:

For UNIX:

$LAWDIR/ productline /work/ CSVdirectory where CSVdirectory is the same name as the file.

For Windows:

%LAWDIR%\ productline \work\ CSVdirectory where CSVdirectory is the same name as the file.

For IBMi:

/LAWDIR/productline /work/ CSVdirectory where CSVdirectory is the same name as the file.

Archive files generated by AM330

If you select Yes in the Archive field, AM330 generates comma-separated value (CSV) files in the work directory. The entire path and file name of all CSV files created prints at the end of the report. The CSV file names include a date and time stamp so files are not overwritten every time AM330 is run.

One CSV file is created for every database file where a record is being purged. The potential files where records are being purged are:

  • AMASSET, DBAMAST

  • AMASTITEM, DBAMASI

  • AMASTBOOK, DBAMASB

  • AMASSETADJ, DBAMASA

  • AMASTITADJ, DBAMAIA

  • AMASTBKADJ, DBAMABA

  • AMASSETTRF, DBAMATF

  • AMASTITTRF, DBAMITR

  • AMASTBKTRFK, DBAMABT

  • AMASSETDSP, DBAMASD

  • AMASTITDSP, DBAMADS

  • AMASTBKDSP, DBAMABD

  • AMASSETRIN, DBAMRIN

  • comments

  • URLs

  • AMASTRPAIR, DBAMASR

  • AMASTMXVAL, DBAMMXT

  • AMPUHIS, DBAMPUH

  • AMASTRECAP, DBAMRCP

The CSV file contains records for all the purged assets from that database file
