Purging disposed assets
Use this procedure to remove disposed assets and all related records from the Asset Management database files. You can purge a single asset, a list of assets (using an attribute list), or use the remaining parameters (such as disposal date, company, lease, location or division) to identify the disposed asset records you want to purge.
Purge disposed assets
- Access Disposed Assets Purge (AM330), Selection Options tab.

Specify the purge parameters using these guidelines:
- Release

Select No to run the purge in report only mode. The program generates a report that you can review before purging the records.
Select Yes to run the purge. The program purges the records and generates a report.
- Archive

Select Yes to create comma-separated value (CSV) files of the purged data in the work directory. The full patch and file name print on the bottom of the report.
Select No if you do not want AM330 to create CSV files.
- Asset or List

Optional. Select or specify a single asset or an asset list.
You can select a single asset, an asset list, or use the other selection options to identify the disposed asset records you want to purge.
- Disposal Date

Optional. You can specify a date range to purge all disposed asset records that fall within a range of disposal dates. Specify or select a start date and an end date.
- Company or Company Group

Optional. You can select the company or company group for the disposed asset(s) you want to purge.
- Company, Lease

Optional. You can select the lease company or lease of the disposed asset(s) you want to purge.
- Location

Optional. You can select the location of the disposed asset(s) you want to purge.
- Division

Optional. You can select the division of the disposed asset(s) you want to purge.
- Asset Group

Optional. You can select the asset group for the disposed asset(s).
- Access the Output Options tab to set up the report output. You can select to sort the report by lease, location, division, or asset group. The report output will always include a page break after a company.
