Fixed percentage allocation

A fixed percentage allocation allocates amounts or units using a percentage you define for each post-to activity. Use a fixed percentage allocation:

  • to allocate amounts or units from a single pool

  • to manually specify the percentage allocated to each post-to activity

  • to allocate less than 100% of the pool to activities

As an option, you can auto-zero the percentages in the allocation every time you post it. This requires that you re-specify the percentages for each post-to activity before you use the allocation again.

Fixed percentage example

Moose Wood Outfitters wants to allocate design costs for one of its new store projects to other activities in the project. They defined these allocations:
