Defining an allocation group

Use this optional procedure to organize allocations in an allocation group for processing and updating. You can use allocation groups to process multiple allocations simultaneously and you can assign calculation steps to allocations in the group.

  1. Access Allocation Group (AC37.1).
  2. Optionally, you can click By Step to specify or view allocations in step order. Allocation Group by Step (AC37.2) is displayed.
  3. Use form AC37.1 or AC37.2 to define the allocation group. Specify this information:
    Group

Specify a name and provide a description for the allocation group. An allocation group description is required.

    Status

Select whether the allocation group is 1 - Active or 9 - Inactive.

    Allocation

Select each allocation to include in the group.

    Step

Assign a step number to the allocation to indicate when the allocation detail line gets processed. All lower steps are processed before processing higher steps.

Assign step numbers in ascending order when transactions from one allocation must be included in the pool of the next allocation. If steps are not assigned, then the pool amounts for subsequent allocation calculations are not include results from other allocations in the group.
