Projection by Account (GL295)

Run Projection by Account (GL295) to print a report that projects the fiscal year-end financial amounts. This program uses actual amounts for all periods preceding the selected period number you enter in the parameters. The remaining and selected periods are populated with budget amounts from the budget you enter in the parameters. The actual amounts are added to the budgeted amounts to get a projected total for the year.

The primary sort for this report is account and subaccount.

This program lets you set up the report to show budgeted amounts only, actual amount only, or a combination of budgeted amounts and actual amounts.

To show budgeted amounts only

  1. Enter the year reported on in the Fiscal Year or Year field.

  2. Leave the Period field blank.

  3. Select the budget you want to use in the Budget field.

To show actual amounts only

  1. Enter the year reported on in the Fiscal Year or Year field.

  2. Leave the Period and Budget fields blank.

The report will show any amounts posted for each period.

If no amount was posted to the period, the period is blank.

To show actual amounts up to a certain period and projected amounts for the rest of the year

  1. Enter the year reported on in the Fiscal Year or Year field.

  2. In the Period field, enter the period through which you want to show actual amounts.

  3. In the Budget field, select the budget to be used to show projected amounts for the remaining periods.
