Mass Chart Account Change Delete (GL100)

Run Mass Chart Account Change Delete (GL100) to change or delete multiple detail accounts for a chart of accounts.

To delete multiple accounts, only define parameters on the Action page.

To change multiple accounts, identify accounts on the Action page and select parameters on the Detail Account Change and Additional Account Change pages.

Caution:

This program permanently deletes data. Before you run this program, back up your data according to your organization's procedures. Before you submit the report, carefully review the parameters.

Caution:

Once you delete accounts, they cannot be recovered.

Processing Effect

This program does not change summary account values; it only changes detail account values. This program overrides account options in Chart of Accounts (GL00.1).

The change options you select in the Detail Account Change and Additional Account Change form tabs affect all accounts identified in the Action form tab.

For example, you select account range 1000 through 2000 in the Action form tab. In the Detail Account Change form tab, you click to change all Inactive accounts to Active and select to Allow Units for all accounts. Account 1100 may already be active, so that change option is ignored. However, if account 1100 does not allow units, that change is made.
