Allocation Pool (CA10.8)

Use Allocation Pool (CA10.8) to define the values for source allocation amounts, if the source accounting units are not related to the 'Post From' accounting units.

The allocation pool defines one of the following:

One or multiple accounting units that contain the source amount. This is used in conjunction with a data name in a compute (RW50)
A fixed percent
An allocation code

Processing Effect

How the system processes allocation pool values depends on the type of pool data that is provided. For example, in the equation CPTOT(HC,@TOAU)/CPTOT(HC)* CPAMT, the CPAMT will consider the accounting units in the pool and the accounts in the override along with the posting options to determine the amount which will be used in the calculation.
