Create a New Web Server Instance or Assign a New Web Server Port for the LDAPBIND Service on LSF

The LDAPBIND service is the one that SSO will use to seamlessly authenticate users of products that do not use passive client authentication. It requires its own web server instance or a separate port on the existing instance.

  1. Follow instructions in your web server administration documentation for creating a new web server instance or port.
  2. If you use WebSphere, you must:

    • Add virtual host entries in WebSphere.

    • If you created a new web server instance, map it to applications in WebSphere.

    • Generate and propagate the plug-ins.

    • Stop and start the application server and the web server again.
