Add the Local Service account to the Windows local user group for Infor GRID, version 11

If you use Version 11 of ION Grid, perform this procedure to map that the Local Service account to the Windows local user group for the Grid.

  1. On the Windows box, go to Computer Management > Local Users and Groups > Groups and then double-click "InforEnterpriseSearch_full" or "InforEnterpriseSearch_read" depending on whether you want group to have full read-write access to the group or just read access.
  2. Add the "Local Service" to the Group. Click the Locations, select the local hostname of the server. For "Enter the object name to select," type "Local Service". Click Check Names and then click OK.
  3. At the prompt to grant the user the policy "Logon as a Service," select Yes.
  4. Go to Windows Services and locate the Grid service. Right-click the Grid service name and then select Properties.
  5. Click the LogOn tab, replace the name in This Account with "Local Service" and type "password" in the Password fields.
  6. Restart the Grid Windows service.
