Infor Security Services: Overview
This chapter provides an overview of the Infor Security Services product.
- Maintain the authorizations to Infor Lawson Enterprise applications or Landmark-based applications
- Create the federation LSF and Landmark
- Synchronize data between the LSF LDAP and the Landmark GEN database
- Provision and administer users after federation
- Maintain the Primary Authentication Service (PAS), SSOP or SSOPV2
For example, suppose users at your site applications based on Infor Landmark Technology, some use LSF applications, and others use both types of applications. Infor Security Services lets you add all users to both systems at one time.
Term | Meaning |
---|---|
authentication |
The mechanism by which users present credentials for accessing an Infor Lawson. Infor Lawson supports several authentication methods. |
Distributed Security Package (DSP) | Infor Lawson deliverable that contains ISS and tools to enable single sign-on. |
federated system |
Process by which two (or more) systems are associated (linked). Typically, performed one time only. Systems being federated MUST use the same authentication protocol. |
Synchronization (sync) |
Allows LSF LDAP and LMK GEN data to be seen in either system. A full backup of LSF and LMK systems should be completed prior to synchronization. (A sync cannot be undone.) |
single sign-on | Allows users to access multiple Infor Lawson systems in a single session while authenticating only one time. |
