Pre-installation Setup

For a first-time installation of LSA, no pre-installation setup is required. If you are re-installing Lawson Security Desktop Tools, remove the previous version before you launch the installation.

You must verify whether your version of LSA is Passive or Non-passive.

Passive client authentication relies on the browser's native capability to interpret HTTP messages and status codes, and allows the client to authenticate to the server through a series of HTTP redirects. By default, the Passive version of LSA will attempt to authenticate via HTTP or HTTPS. You can do this by specifying the complete server URL in the ServerConnectionForm.

Non-passive client authentication requires rich clients to implement underlying protocols required to handle interactions between the client and the server during authentication.

Your version of Infor Lawson Security Administrator will only work with the correct authentication or configuration.
