Setting File Sizes

This procedure assists you in setting your file sizes.

Note: Lawson recommends using locally-managed tablespace and automatic extent management features. If you are using these features, you do not need to set files sizes in dbdef as described in this section.

To set initial and incremental file sizes for your tables

  1. At the prompt, type:

    laenv

  2. From the Utilities menu, choose Database Administration > Database Definition.

    The Product Line Definition form appears.

  3. In the Product Line field, type the product line name.
  4. Select Define or press F6.
  5. Choose File Sizes.

    The File Size Definition form appears.

  6. On the File Size Definition form, set the appropriate initial and incremental sizes for your tables in the product line.
